For more than 30 years, Professor Singer has written on a broad range of topics from animal ethics and poverty to altruism and utilitarianism. He has received numerous awards and been recognized for his work globally. His book "Animal Liberation" was recognized by Time Magazine as one of the most influential non-fiction books written.
 
Professor Singer will speak on the subject of altruism and, in particular, his book "The Life You Can Save: How To Do Your Part To End World Poverty". He will sign copies of his book at the end of his talk.
